I clement 1 and 2

THE FIRST EPISTLE OF CLEMENT TO THE CORINTHIANS
Translated by J.B. Lightfoot.
1Clem prologue:1
The Church of God which sojourneth in Rome to the Church of God which
sojourneth in Corinth, to them which are called and sanctified by the
will of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to you and peace
from Almighty God through Jesus Christ be multiplied.
1Clem 1:1
By reason of the sudden and repeated calamities and reverses which
are befalling us, brethren, we consider that we have been somewhat
tardy in giving heed to the matters of dispute that have arisen among
you, dearly beloved, and to the detestable and unholy sedition, so
alien and strange to the elect of God, which a few headstrong and
self-willed persons have kindled to such a pitch of madness that your
name, once revered and renowned and lovely in the sight of all men,
hath been greatly reviled.
1Clem 1:2
For who that had sojourned among you did not approve your most
virtuous and steadfast faith? Who did not admire your sober and
forbearing piety in Christ? Who did not publish abroad your
magnificent disposition of hospitality? Who did not congratulate you
on your perfect and sound knowledge?
1Clem 1:3
For ye did all things without respect of persons, and ye walked after
the ordinances of God, submitting yourselves to your rulers and
rendering to the older men among you the honor which is their due.
On the young too ye enjoined modest and seemly thoughts: and the
women ye charged to perform all their duties in a blameless and
seemly and pure conscience, cherishing their own husbands, as is
meet; and ye taught them to keep in the rule of obedience, and to
manage the affairs of their household in seemliness, with all
discretion.
1Clem 2:1
And ye were all lowly in mind and free from arrogance, yielding
rather than claiming submission, more glad to give than to
receive
, and content with the provisions which God supplieth. And
giving heed unto His words, ye laid them up diligently in your
hearts, and His sufferings were before your eyes.
1Clem 2:2
Thus a profound and rich peace was given to all, and an insatiable
desire of doing good. An abundant outpouring also of the Holy Spirit
fell upon all;
1Clem 2:3
and, being full of holy counsel, in excellent zeal and with a pious
confidence ye stretched out your hands to Almighty God, supplicating
Him to be propitious, if unwillingly ye had committed any sin.
1Clem 2:4
Ye had conflict day and night for all the brotherhood, that the
number of His elect might be saved with fearfulness and intentness of
mind.
1Clem 2:5
Ye were sincere and simple and free from malice one towards another.
1Clem 2:6
Every sedition and every schism was abominable to you. Ye mourned
over the transgressions of your neighbors: ye judged their
shortcomings to be your own.
1Clem 2:7
Ye repented not of any well-doing, but were ready unto every good
work.

1Clem 2:8
Being adorned with a most virtuous and honorable life, ye performed
all your duties in the fear of Him. The commandments and the
ordinances of the Lord were written on the tablets of your hearts.
1Clem 3:1
All glory and enlargement was given unto you, and that was fulfilled
which is written My beloved ate and drank and was enlarged and
waxed fat and kicked.

Greta Thornburg and the state of science

I see the whole thing about Greta Thornburg, and  I just don't get it. I just don't see why this whole thing should matter to so many people. so, a new person showed up and so, she says what everyone likes? so what? there were once people who worried about overpopulation> where are those now? gone. overpopulation was a flash in the pan. there were once people who wanted eugenics. where are they now? they are gone. that is how it is with science. all a flash in the pan.

Art Tim Cajote Sabangan updated his profile picture. a poem by him

Pray for a while
Our father
That you are in the heavens
Hallowed be your name
Come to us your kingdom,...
Do your will
Here on the earth
As in heaven, give us today
The bread of each day, forgive our trespasses
Just like
We forgive
To those who offend us,
Do not let us fall into temptation
And deliver us from all evil. Amen.
Dear lord,
I thank you;
For this wonderful day,
For my family
For my food
For a roof to rest
For one more of work
And mainly
For one more day of life next to the people I love most.
Bless, Lord:
To my family
To my friend and
To those who are not, because day, they also need you.
Bless Lord:
To my country, take it from your mercy
That is great and infinite.
Calm the wrath of its inhabitants..
Do not allow Lord that streets of
your beloved land continue to swim in blood.
Light up those who come out to manifest.
Bless Lord, who is reading this message now.
fulfill your dreams,
Take care your steps,
I ask you in the name of your beloved son Jesus Amen!
For charity you can share this beautiful prayer in the form of message, if you do, I thank you infinitely, it will be great because, in a few moments, many people will be praying for the peace of the
"things happen for something"
Everything goes around and comes!
Do it with faith.
God loves you!
Pass it to so many people know that will help you this powerful prayer....
Don't cut it.💛💙❤️for charity.

My thoughts on reality

Christian Nihilists say, "Reality is not what you make it. You are merely one person. There are billions of people out there. You are merely yourself. Stop thinking that you can change the world. Stop thinking that what you want should matter. God is God. He is so much. We are reminded of that when we look out at the stars. We don't matter at all." why should it be that we do not matter? does God make trash all of the sudden? if we really do not matter, then why should that thought hurt? why should it feel as if we were supposed to matter?

Two Irishmen have a bright idea

Paddy and Murphy are working on a building site.
Paddy says to Murphy, “I’m gonna get the day off. I’m gonna pretend I’ve gone mad!” He climbs up the rafters, hangs upside down and shouts “I’m a lightbulb, I’m a lightbulb!”
Murphy watches in amazement.
The foreman shouts: “Paddy, go home. You’ve gone mad.”
So Paddy leaves the site. Murphy starts packing his kit up to leave as well.
“Where do you think you’re going?” asks the foreman.
“Well, I can’t work in the friggin dark!” said Murphy.

Come little children
I'll take thee away
Into a land of enchantment
Come little children
The time's come to play
Here in my garden of shadows
Follow sweet children
I'll show thee the way
Through all the pain
And the sorrows
Weep not poor children
For life is this way
Murdering beauty and passions
Hush now dear children
It must be this way
Too weary of life
And deceptions
Rest now my children
For soon we'll away
Into the calm and the quiet
Come little children
I'll take thee away
Into a land of enchantment
Come little children
The time's come to play
Here in my garden of shadows

Stop Giving Power to People Who Don't Believe in Science? Hans Solo says

Harrison Ford: "Stop Giving Power to People Who Don't Believe in Science"

"Celebrities typically use their platforms to unfold awareness on vital problems. But whereas several folks became numb to their warnings, there is one thing concerning Harrison Ford that creates folks stay awaken and listen.

Maybe it's the cult following he's acquired from playing heroic characters like Indiana Jones and Han Solo."

Excuse me, but since when do non scientists get to define how we live our lives? And isn't science something that you should question and re-question over and over? why do we have to worship the past?

For My Cute Ice

A Love Poem by loverboy

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Ones are cute,
And so are you.

Orchids are white,
Ghost ones are rare,
Your way is long,
And so is your hair.

Magnolia grows,
With buds like eggs,
List is long,
And so are your legs.

Sunflowers reach,
Up to the skies,
My shirt is blue,
And so are your eyes.

Foxgloves in hedges,
Surround the farms,
Things are cute,
And so are your arms.

Daisies are pretty,
Daffies have style,
Cities are big,
And so is your smile.

An ice is beautiful,
Just like you.

Guy Fawkes can cheer that

It's not then, it's today, as in your first today!

Yes, what happened to us was so very horrible. We 😢 without end forever. 9/11 will haunt us for ever. It's not then. It's today, as in your first today. We cry all the time. What good does it do? Will it bring back the dead? Why can't we stop ✋ crying? Why must it hurt so much? Every day in September, we cry over what happened then. We don't hate anyone. We don't hate people just because they live on a certain part of the world! Please don't hate us.

Little Orphant Annie by James Whitcomb Riley

Little Orphant Annie's come to our house to stay,
An' wash the cups an' saucers up, an' brush the crumbs away,
An' shoo the chickens off the porch, an' dust the hearth, an' sweep,
An' make the fire, an' bake the bread, an' earn her board-an'-keep;
An' all us other children, when the supper-things is done,
We set around the kitchen fire an' has the mostest fun
A-list'nin' to the witch-tales 'at Annie tells about,
An' the Gobble-uns 'at gits you
Ef you
Don't
Watch
Out!
Wunst they wuz a little boy wouldn't say his prayers,--
An' when he went to bed at night, away up-stairs,
His Mammy heerd him holler, an' his Daddy heerd him bawl,
An' when they turn't the kivvers down, he wuzn't there at all!
An' they seeked him in the rafter-room, an' cubby-hole, an' press,
An' seeked him up the chimbly-flue, an' ever'-wheres, I guess;
But all they ever found wuz thist his pants an' roundabout:--
An' the Gobble-uns 'll git you
Ef you
Don't
Watch
Out!
An' one time a little girl 'ud allus laugh an' grin,
An' make fun of ever' one, an' all her blood-an'-kin;
An' wunst, when they was "company," an' ole folks wuz there,
She mocked 'em an' shocked 'em, an' said she didn't care!
An' thist as she kicked her heels, an' turn't to run an' hide,
They wuz two great big Black Things a-standin' by her side,
An' they snatched her through the ceilin' 'fore she knowed what she's about!
An' the Gobble-uns 'll git you
Ef you
Don't
Watch
Out!
An' little Orphant Annie says, when the blaze is blue,
An' the lamp-wick sputters, an' the wind goes woo-oo!
An' you hear the crickets quit, an' the moon is gray,
An' the lightnin'-bugs in dew is all squenched away,--
You better mind yer parunts, an' yer teachurs fond an' dear,
An' churish them 'at loves you, an' dry the orphant's tear,
An' he'p the pore an' needy ones 'at clusters all about,
Er the Gobble-uns 'll git you
Ef you
Don't
Watch
Out!

I wonder why

Atoms With Consciousness, Matter With Curiosity by Richard Feynman

There are the rushing waves
mountains of molecules
each stupidly minding its own business
trillions apart
yet forming white surf in unison
Ages on ages
before any eyes could see
year after year
thunderously pounding the shore as now.
For whom, for what?
On a dead planet
with no life to entertain.
Never at rest
tortured by energy
wasted prodigiously by the Sun
poured into space.
A mite makes the sea roar.
Deep in the sea
all molecules repeat
the patterns of one another
till complex new ones are formed.
They make others like themselves
and a new dance starts.
Growing in size and complexity
living things
masses of atoms
DNA, protein
dancing a pattern ever more intricate.
Out of the cradle
onto dry land
here it is
standing:
atoms with consciousness;
matter with curiosity.
Stands at the sea,
wonders at wondering: I
a universe of atoms
an atom in the Universe.

"Crossing" describing memories of New Mexico in Hound and Horn (June 1928) by Robert Oppenheimer

It was evening when we came to the river
With a low moon over the desert
that we had lost in the mountains, forgotten,
what with the cold and the sweating
and the ranges barring the sky.
And when we found it again,
In the dry hills down by the river,
half withered, we had
the hot winds against us. There were two palms by the landing;
The yuccas were flowering; there was
a light on the far shore, and tamarisks.
We waited a long time, in silence.
Then we heard the oars creaking
and afterwards, I remember,
the boatman called us.
We did not look back at the mountains.

To be, or not to be, that is the question from Hamlet

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to: 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there's the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause—there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th'oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of dispriz'd love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th'unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovere'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.

Vexillum Stellatum (trans. C. Pavur, 2009)

Videre potesne luce matutina
quod salutavimus vespere morienti
cuius clav(i) et stellae turbidam per pugnam
in tutatis muris fortiter se praebebant?
Fulgoresque diri, fragoresque belli
monstrant per noctem: aderat vexillum!
Adhucne signum illud stellatum stat
super terram liberam patriamque fortem?

round, round Hitler's grave

Now I wished I had a bushel
Wished I had a peck
Wished I had old Hitler
With a rope around his neck.

Hey, round, round Hitler's grave
Round, round we go
Gonna lay that poor boy down
He won't get up no more.

Mussolini won't last long
Tell you the reason why
We're a-gonna salt his beef
And hang it up to dry.

The German army general staff
I guess they missed connection
Went a hundred miles a day
But in the wrong direction.

I'm a-goin' to Berlin
To Mister Hitler's town
I'm gonna take my forty-four
And blow his playhouse down.

How Hitler went to Russia
In search of Russian oil
But the only oil he'll find there
Is a pot in which he'll boil.

Now Mister Hitler's traveling mighty fast
But he's on a one-way track
Started down that Moscow road
But now he's coming back.

Transpersonal Philosophy

When the mind is serene
and the heart is flowering,
there is no fertile ground
for cynicism or arrogance.
Nor is there any space for ...
feeling inferior or unworthy.
The pure single undividable
Awareness is recognized as
That which is in/as everyone.
And That is the Tao which was
never born and will never die.

Wake me up when September ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Like my fathers come to pass
Seven years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are
As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends
Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Ring out the bells again
Like we did when spring began
Wake me up when September ends
Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are
As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends
Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Like my father's come to pass
Twenty years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends

We do not hate anybody. We do not hate anybody at all. I do not know why they made us die on that horrible day so long ago. We are about to come up to the remembrance of that horrible day in September when we became the permanently dead. We will always been dead since then. I do not bring up these things because of any racism. I mourn the dead. The 11th murdered us. We can never raise from the dead ever.

Song of Solomon and Courtly 💘

Song of Solomon, also known as Canticles, is the Biblical story of courtly love, the relationship between a knight and his True 💘. In this case, the knight is Solomon and his nymph is a dark female known as the Shulamite woman. She is ashamed of her darkness. She is ashamed of her proletarian job. He is handsome and ruddy. One can easily think of Jacob or David here. Both were rugged men. One can also think of Pan, the pagan faun. Canticles is meant to be just that, spiritual hymns, or runic rhymes. Each Hebrew tune is meditated on individually. This mythic 💘 is taken down to form the tropes that define Dark Ages'legends. One even finds the language copied in Isiah and the Revellation.

We are not supposed to know why relationships exist

Yes, God made us to be social creatures, but merely because I can do something does not mean that I should. There are many things that you can do. This doesn't matter. You are merely yourself. You are not the person that you are interested in. You have no right to them. It doesn't matter if you attract them or not. They are not for you. Yes, God made relationships, but only as possible things. It doesn't mean that you have to have one. Dating involves temptation. This it should be avoided. Go ahead and just try to ask someone out. You will get sued and rightfully so.
